Monocle Chronicle

My new and collaborative piece Monocle Chronicle is currently on view at Philadelphia's Space 1026 in a group show entitled "Paradise Now." The second in my series of non-projecting projectors, this one has a new innovative wall-mounted position, in contrast to the table top version. The content and imagery of the self-contained motorized viewer has been provided by Jon Schroeder, along with a wonderful soundtrack, especially composed for the monocle chronicle film/projector piece. The "film" follows the mundane activities of a the street on a sunny day, which quickly dissolve into multi-layer pixel mayhem.

It is uniquely housed in the Space Pod (or mini gallery within a gallery, pictured above) built and curated by Caleb Rogers. More picture from the show are available at the Space 1026 website:

New Car

This piece, New Car, is inspired by a book I have entitled Dream Machines. This is also an homage to 1980's printed style, and by extension a look into the time before computer-based graphic design.

potential publicity:

This is a project that I am developing, I don't know if any of these images will be in what I conceive to be a video piece of a horror flick made with shadow puppets. But, I liked the effect of making a neutral and generic boy puppet and adding different faces.
